5 Easy Ways To Cozy Up Your Home For Christmas on a Budget

Ready or not, the holiday season is upon us. And even though it can get stressful during the holidays, trying to do all the things that need to get done, it is my absolute most favorite time of the year. And decorating for Christmas is something I look forward to all year - even decorating for Christmas on a budget is fun!

I try to find easy cheap ways to decorate our home for the holidays using things we already have around the house (or stashed in closets) like candles, books, and cozy blankets.

Not to say I don't buy anything, mind you. So yea, I have included some sweet home Christmas goodies  too just in case.

Candles

Group candles on a plate or tray for an easy inexpensive holiday table centerpiece. Add berries and garland for a festive touch. The Dollar Tree is one of the best places to shop for candles, as well as decorative trays. And if prefer to shop online, these festive holiday candles are inexpensive and will make your home warm and cozy for those winter nights.

Throws and Pillows

Cozy knitted throws and pillows on your couches will instantly add a welcoming warm touch to your home this winter. Instead of buying new pillows  (which can be expensive!) just get new pillow covers and save some of that money for buying gifts.

Make Scented Homemade Potpourri

DIY Holiday Potpourri is a wonderful way to make your home warm and inviting throughout the holidays. Try this easy Christmas potpourri.

Decorate With Pine Cones

Pine cones are wonderful cheap DIY decorations for the holidays. Go for a walk and collect as many as you can. Place them in baskets, vases, bowls and place them throughout your home.

Holiday Books, Games and Puzzles

A totally free way to add in some cozy holiday decorating is by checking out holiday-themed books from the library. Put a pile of two or three books on your living room table or side tables.

If you have any puzzles or card games stashed in the closets, take them out and put them around your living/family room.
