What This Mom Did During Labor is Amazing

Photographer Lisa Robinson-Ward just captured the most amazing photos of a mom in labor and giving birth to her beautiful baby girl.

She also happened to be that mom in labor. Yes, Robinson-Ward took breathtakingly beautiful pictures of her own labor and delivery of daughter Anora.

“I was pretty flexible with the plan,” says Robinson-Ward. “If it became impossible I was fine with not doing it but fortunately I had a really easy and amazing birth experience.”

Stunning photographs detail the entire labor and birth experience - even down to the emotions showing on her husband's face as he watches his baby daughter enter the world.

Life is Best When Shared With Someone You Love

Sometimes I have moments of clarity and realize just how lucky I am to be married to my hubby. Sadly, I do not often enough have these moments. I think way down the knowledge is always there yet the day to day trials and tribulations we all go through tends to push those feelings of gratitude and being blessed aside. It's like second nature almost to find fault or blame for some minor (in the grand scheme of things) altercation with my hubby. The silliest of things like who should be changing a diaper and who is on homework duty will cause us to be short with each other and feel so put upon.
And then there are the days where work, life and kids have us running to keep up that we kind of pass by each other as we make our way through another day with barely time to speak to each other.
But then come those special moments of clarity out of the blue--when I am least expecting it. I will find my tired hubby holding my little boy n his lap, and telling him a story. And I will stop and catch my breath as I try to memorize every detail of that moment. It's not like I have never seen this picture before...but it is just that moment where it will hit me how so very lucky I am.
Finding your true love is the most wonderful thing. And it is something that I know I need to treasure and nurture and be extremely thankful for. And for those that have not yet found their true love, it is something that I believe they should not give up on. Because there really is nothing that can compare to having that true friend and love that you can share anything and everything with, even dirty diapers and fights. A Possible Move in The Making

My husband has relatives in England that are actually considering a permanent move to the United States. They have come to visit on vacation a few times over the years, and like it more and more each time. So of course we are all getting excited and hope they will make their final decision soon. Happy Labor Day!

Happy Labor Day to all!! We will be relaxing and just hanging out today. I will be trying to avoid the computer today for the most part (may sneak on and check emails later...shhh...) and just enjoy a nice family day. My daughter does have to work on a report for school (already?!), but we will work on it together a bit later.
I can't believe we are actually in September now. That's it--time to get ready for the holiday season--yea!! Ok--I'm off to be with my family. Hope everyone enjoys their Labor Day!

Hiding From The Kids

Do you ever try and hide from your kids for just a few minutes or so? You know --- not long enough to cause a panic or anything, but just a couple of minutes where you can take a few long breaths and just "be" for a minute?

I confess I am guilty of this. I will hide out in my bathroom long enough to regroup, or until I've been found out (which usually happens first). I do this when my youngest is napping, and my 4 year old is happily watching Blue's Clues. I will seize the opportunity to hide out a few minutes and simply do nothing but sit and meditate and enjoy the silence. And for as long as it lasts, it's heaven.
