I did not know either, (so don't feel bad) until I had the opportunity to review this new healthier snack alternative for kids (and maybe adults too...just saying.)

Without question, I do not eat properly everyday, nor do I get the recommended daily amount of calcium like I should be doing. And this is particularly what made me so interested in reviewing  Yoplait Frozen Smoothies!

 Each package of Yoplait Frozen Smoothies contains one full serving of fruit (1/2 cup) and 110 to 120 calories per serving. Not only does Yoplait yogurt contain live and active cultures, but when prepared with skim milk and made according to package directions, Yoplait Frozen Smoothies are a good source of calcium. And who does not love a yummy delicious smoothie? Yoplait Frozen Smoothies come in four delicious flavors: New Blueberry Pomegranate, Triple Berry, Strawberry Banana, and Strawberry Mango Pineapple.

For my review, I received a VIP coupon so I could go pick out a smoothie to try. I knew right away my choice would be the Blueberry Pomegranate. (You can find these in the frozen fruit aisles, btw.) I used skim milk and blended a fantastic smoothie that was delicious and refreshing, Drinking it just made me feel healthier. What I have decided to do is make double batches so I will always have some on hand. It is an easy way to give my body what it needs, and to have a yummy pick me up during the day!

Wendy's has new salads on their menu. Yum!! Some of my favorite things are salads, salmon, reality TV shows (anyone watching Big Brother, btw?) salads, chocolate cake.....hmmm...well, when I think of more I will post them later. But for now, on with this review and giveaway!

I tried the Apple Pecan Chicken Salad, and it was delicious! I did pass on the chicken as I am vegetarian, but the rest of the salad was as good (and even better in some cases) as restaurant salads I have had. I found it to be very fresh and crunchy. I think I loved the apple the best (the cranberries and blue cheese crumbles are a very close second).....they just added such a unique fresh taste.

And Wendy's not only loves their customers, as evidenced by the care and choice of salads and other menu options, but it turns out they love ME and My Readers!!

New Giveaway: Set of Six Light-Up Marble Racers!!

Here is a little summer fun for kids: a Set of Six Light-Up Marble Racers! My boys received a set of these cars, and believe me, there is probably nothing more exciting to them than getting new cars. No matter how many cars they collect (and between the two of them, they have a sizeable collection!), there can never be too many in their eyes.

But my munchkin boys were in for a special treat with these cars. They not only come with very "awesome" stickers and decals (my 3 year old's description,, btw!) these cars light up as they race along.  Can I just say that my boys eyes lit up as well when they saw these cars in action. A tip here: race these cars in a dark room for a fantastic effect!

Each car has a 1 inch LED Marble in it which creates the light-up effect. The racers are designed to flash on 1:64 Hot Wheel Tracks, but they are fun just racing around hard floor and tables as well. And I think any race track will work just fine too.

GIVEAWAY! Pillsbury Orange Sweet Rolls and Photo Album Gift Pack

Ask me what I love best about those Pillsbury Sweet Roll packages in the refrigerated cookie area of the markets? Go on, ask! I love love love the easy- no mess- no fuss baking! Review and Giveaway: The Mama Doni Band "Chanukah Fever" CD

Fun and silly, funky and happy are the best words to describe the music on Mama Doni's latest album, "Chanuka Fever: 12 Macca Beats for The Whole Family."

Mama Doni, aka Doni Zasloff Thomas, is a talented and hip mother of two young children, who has been immersed in Jewish life and music since she was a little girl. Sharing her passion with her preschool music students inspired Doni to start writing and recording her own songs, and in 2008 Mama Doni released her first album, "I Love Herring."

We had fun, sang along, giggled and grooved. That's what I love about this music....it makes my kids "happy in their tummies." And those words makes this mommy happy in her heart.

Look What I'm Getting....And I'm Giving One Away Too!

Jetta and the Jellybeans CD Review and Giveaway

I really wanted to do this review much sooner than this, but with the holidays... you know how it goes, right?

So, without further ado, let me introduce you to the "Fabulous" Ms. Jetta and the Jellybeans!! Jetta and the Jellybeans have entertained kids with their educational songs for over a decade. Their music is silly, fun, educational and just...happy. Seriously. I think the best word to describe Jetta and the Jellybean's music is Happy! Mix in styles like pop, rock and even blues with great sing along lyrics, and you get music that kids are going to love. And for the record, I will admit I now go around the house doing things like washing dishes and picking up stray legos while humming Jetta and the Jellybean songs. I'm telling you there are catchy tunes on this cd, and fantastic messages for kids in every one of them.

We received a copy of Jetta and the Jellybeans new cd, "tell me what you want to be" just before Christmas. As soon as my four year old saw the cover, he wanted to hear it. Me too. It is a cute picture. And when you open the cd cover, there are even cuter pictures to look at.

The first song came on and I can honestly say that myself, my two year old and four year old just started dancing away. The song, "When you're all grown up, tell me what you want to be" is my favorite. Hands down. I loved it from the first beat, and there is no way you (yes...you, not just your kids!)will not be able to dance when you hear it. Kid you not. We were laughing, dancing and jumping around like crazy. But I especially loved the message on the song which is kids can be anything they want to be. Awesome. The fun thing this song and the others on the cd is that the lyrics are easy to hear and sing along with. And of course we all did!


Every single song on the entire CD my kids and I enjoyed. My four year old especially fell in love with the song, "Skat Cat". It is like a rendition of a classic Blues type song--and brings out the "cool cat" in my little man, hehe. Just look at his cool moves, LOL.

There are a total of 12 songs on Jetta and The Jellybeans CD. All of them are fun and teach things like how to wash your hands and how to take care of a pet. There are songs about gravity, outer space, and taking medicine. If you want your kids to burn up some energy, the songs "March Your Feet" and "Wiggle" will do just that. Guaranteed.

We play Jetta and The Jellybeans just about everyday now. I can put it on and instantly stop a raging battle over a toy, quiet a temper tantrum and cheer up bored little boys that have been inside too much this chilly winter we are having. Pretty impressive.

Now for the best part. Jetta and The Jellybeans have offered to give one lucky family a SIGNED copy of their "Tell Me What You Want To Be" cd. I am telling you, it is a great collection of songs and your little ones will love it, especially with a signed message from Ms. Jetta herself inside!
